It’s not a typical night in Miami. Where else can you see amazing R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop, with a mix of talented artists, and emcees perform with a LIVE BAND?! Empress of Chunky Chickz is preparing to set the stage for the revival of live music in Miami.

Empress of Chunky Chickz is preparing to set the stage for the revival of live music in Miami. Miami Renaissance will debut on Sunday May 15th 2011. What will distinguish this night from other Live Music venues is simple TALENT. Empress takes great care when selecting her featured performers.

It’s definitely not your typical Artist Showcase or Open Mic night. Miami Renaissance is an ode to the artistic styles once characteristic of Harlem Renaissance, unlike anything you’ve seen in Miami before. Bringing the REAL back to Miami’s Music scene. It’s a challenge! Anyone can go in the studio and create a hot track, but only True Artists can bring those words to life & improvise if necessary.

This is your time to show that you have what it takes to make it in this business. YOU are invited to Perform, Network & Perfect your craft beginning Sunday, May 15, 2011. The doors open at 8pm
ARTISTS have the exclusive opportunity to get on stage without having to submit or audition in advance!! Just show-up early, sign-up, and PERFORM during the open mic portion of the show!! Artists that participate in this segment of the show will get 3-minutes on stage or one song (whichever is less) and will be judged on audience response for a chance to win a FULL FEATURE PERFORMANCE at the next Miami Renaissance Event. (so bring all your friends!!!!!!) $10 to sign-up
